This functions as Sairento VR’s basic hub, which offers the main campaign, challenge modes, and even multiplayer engagements. Most stages amount to monster closets and wave combat, dealing with multiple cyber-Japanese enemies firing projectiles or jumping directly into your face with menacing swords. But when you’re slow-mo back-flipping through the air, dispatching three cyber-samurai before your feet touch the ground, remorse will be the furthest thing from your mind. Combined with the lower-resolution available on the PlayStation 4 (it originally released for desktop VR platforms a full year and a half ago) and some considerably elaborate controls, players might be tempted to doubt its merit in the first hour. Sairento VR is highly entertaining, even when you’ve only just started and you’re simply waving your arms about in the hope that you’ll hit something. Sairento VR is pretty solid VR release that's a little rough around the edges but it should appeal to anyone looking for fast-paced action or who just wants to be a ninja. Since then he's plowed a jagged path as a writer, editor, podcaster, comic creator, and mostly benevolent malcontent in New York City. It’s a tried and tested sequence that can sometimes be a little unresponsive but in Sairento VR it works well. It’s usually a case of them just running straight for you but they can be damn fast which means a lot of leaping around to avoid projectiles. Bugs did crop up while playing and hopefully they will be addressed eventually. Sairento VR comes bursting onto PSVR in hail of bullets and blood. The Early Access version was really a taste of what was to come, and in the final release, they have now added the campaign mode which I was hoping would bring everything together. Push past that hour, though, and you’re treated to a remarkable FPS/platformer hybrid, bundled within a surprisingly decent sci-fi yarn and an impressive armory to tinker with. Sairento VR is John Wick meets The Matrix meets Kill Bill meets a wandering, arm-punching lunatic. This UI/UX issue stacks on top of the difficulty of learning proper movement in the game, but those primary complaints completely melt once things get moving.
