The suspicion at clubs like Arsenal is that it may not be 2021 before supporters are back in grounds and when you're as reliant on matchday income as they are - 25% of their revenue - then something has to give financially. Obviously the coronavirus pandemic has put all manner of transfer business in flux and Arsenal will almost certainly have a smaller budget now than they would have if the season had played out as normal.
